Top Tip for Parents
Egg boxes make perfect ten frames! Cut a dozen-egg box to 10 spaces, and use small objects like buttons or pasta shapes as counters. Ask your child to show different numbers, then describe them: "13 is 1 full ten frame and 3 more." This hands-on play builds place value understanding beautifully.
